My new Photography website went live this week. The new site will replace my existing websites as a single place to view all my galleries, news and blogs including this page which disappear in the not too distant future. The sites this website will replace are:

Pensions Minister Photograph featured on the BBC News Website

Yesterday saw me attending the National Pensioners Convention as part of the work I have doing for Visit Blackpool. We photographed the the Pension Minister giving the keynote and doing a Q&A. The images were syndicated by the Press Association and subsequently appeared on numerous websites, including the BBC’s national news pages. I then got emailed by Richard from SKV Communications to show me this example:

I shall be announcing a new website very soon which will replace me old site and this blog. The new site will be a combination of the two featuring overviews of what service I offer and an integrated news/blog section. It looks really good and I ‘m pretty excited to get up live! Heywood House Hotel, Liverpool

I seem to getting a lot of Hotel, Bar and Restaurant Photography Commissions recently. Here is the set I did for the Noble House Hotel on Brunswick Street in Liverpool’s business district. I would say that this is one of Liverpool’s best kept Hotel Secrets. It’s very discretely hidden above the Heywood House Bar and Restaurant and the pair work very well together and perfectly compliment each other

DRL Christmas Party at the Reebok Stadium

Saturday night saw a cold, cold frosty night in Bolton! The roads were treacherous and turning up at the Reebok stadium to an ice rink of a car park was interesting. Arriving at the suit was great, it was really cosy and warm and Juliet at RSVP did a great job with the set up and theming. The event went with a bang and the buys at DRL really know how to party, it was a great event and a pleasure to attend.

Bupa Christmas Party at Pure Night Club, Manchester

Here’s Bupa North West’s Christmas Party which was at Pure Night Club in the Printworks in Manchester City Centre. They Hired out the downstairs Club with vip sections and arranged a Casino night with Chocolate Fountain and Raffle. I would say around 300 people attended the event and the champagne reception went down well with a generally good all round night. Images and Prints can be purchased here

Down Hall Country House Hotel

Here’s a selection of images I did for the Down Hall Hotel in Hertfordshire, these images will be used in their new website and new promotional material. This Hotel is really amazing with a stunning Central Hall and grounds. Part of the set included taking food shots from the new menu in the Grill Room, which was excellent as I got to try some of the dishes as I finished taking the images! The House Dates from 1624 and has had many carnations throughout the years including being a family residence through be being a convalescent home during the first world war. The Hotel now offers 99 Bedrooms, Wedding and Conference Facilities. There is a small leisure club and they now cater for corporate clients with outside themed events, such as The Crystal Maze which you can see the set up of the Crystal Dome in one of the Conference Suites.

I haven’t had much chance over the last few months to keep my blog up to date, which I think is a good sign that I’ve been a bit busy to keep! I’m going to try and update it over christmas and add some of the shoots I’ve done recently… there are quite a few!! Hope you like the Hotel images…

Ramada Plaza Hotel Southport

Well, the past couple of months have been extremely busy with jobs all over the place including a week down in London for Google at their annual Zietgeist Conference and Global Sales and Leadership conference, Various Events including Fashion Shows, Parties and the like and a few good Architectural jobs, starting with this set from the Ramada Plaza Hotel on the Promenade in Southport….I even spent the day onsite in London at Canon Place photographing construction workers angle grinding Steel, part of a Commercial set I am working on.

I’ve not had much time to update the blog so here goes with catching up on a highlight of the past few months. The Ramada Plaza is pretty much the centre piece of the Promenade now in southport and it stands above all other building on the front like an Art Deco Oceanliner! Hope you enjoy these images and I will get through my backlog and show you more from the last few months.

Modo Fashion Show and Launch Party

Last Friday night saw me being invited down to Modo on concert Square in Liverpool by Fashion and Music Photographer Mark McNulty. I’ve always being a big fan of Mark’s work and it was a pleasure to cover an event on behalf of him. He had shot a series of images of Funky images of people from around Liverpool, which were being put on a permanant exhibition at the Bar. The guys down at Modo also put on a fashion show, which will link into their new Modo magazing. The night finished with a DJ set from Sophie Ellis Bexter and a competition to find the best dressed in the audience too!

Jamie Tyrer’s 21st birthday

Here’s a preview of Jamie Tyrer’s 21st Birthday Party at the Craxton Wood Hotel in Cheshire. The Event was arranged by Tent and Garden with Lighting by Lightech and Basic Monkey. The Tyrer family are lovely and the event was a pleasure to attend and photograph, Tent and Garden put on a good show including Gorillas and Playboy Bunnies! The Lighting and stage set were impressive as to Lightech’s usual standards. More images to follow soon…

One Young World Summit Excel Centre London

Earlier this week saw me photographing the One Young World Summit at the Excel Centre and what an amazing event it turned out to be! There were around 750 delegates up to the age of 25 attending, from countries from all around the world. They were there to listen to an impressive array of speakers and have their say on how things should be run in the future. Speakers included Sir Bob Geldof, Archbishop Desmond Tu Tu, Kofi Annan, Boris Johnson, John Kerry, Wycliff and Clarence Seedorf. Corinnee Bailey Rae also Played at the opening ceremony. I took an huge amount of images and a small selection were played at the end of event to Music which went down really well and even got a standing ovation which was amazing.
